Hanging Flax (corten)

Harakeke or New Zealand flax inspired outdoor wall art in rusting corten steel.  Delicate and beautiful, the flax leaf hanging comes tied as shown and measures 1.40m long.  Leaf/branches are 550mm and 360mm long.

Corten steel is an architectural rusting steel that is designed to rust. It has a copper content that ensures its core will not deteriorate and it will last a long long time.  Corten continues to look more fabulous the more it ages. The rust grows on the outside of the art, making it stronger.  The art itself does not rust. 

Art work is intended to be hung using the rope on a hook, wall dot or nail. The small channels on the backs of the feathers are not load bearing. These are to make the artwork pop out from the wall, for effect, to match the depth of the rope so your art hangs nicely. they can be secured using blutack if in a windy spot.
