FANTAIL or piwakawaka in Maori is known for its friendly ‘cheet cheet’ call and energetic flying antics. The aptly named fantail is one of the most common and widely distributed native birds on the New Zealand mainland.
KEA is one of the most intelligent birds. It is endangered and is the world's only alpine parrot.
TUI are unique to New Zealand. They are energetic, medium-sized, common and widespread. Tui have distinctive white throat tufts (poi) and are very vocal.
The artwork comes as a set with each measuring 70cm tall. All have pointed spokes on the bottom to push into the ground or a pot plant.
