Lisa's pieces come ready to hang using 1.2mm deep aluminium hanging blocks.  These make the artwork "pop" out from the wall for added impact.

Art can be hung using screws, nails, hooks or 3M picture hanging strips (indoors only), not included.  Art should be hung using the longest hanging block on the back of the artwork.  This is the load bearing hanging block.  If hanging in a windy area, art can be stabilised with Selley's Hard as Nails or blutack on the smaller hanging blocks.  Please ensure you follow the manufacturer's instructions and use the appropriate number of screws or hooks, dependent on the size and weight of your art.

3M adhesive tape can be included for those not wanting to pierce the wall, fence or house etc.  This is suitable for outdoor use only. Please contact Lisa after placing the order for your art if you would like 3M adhesive tape included.

Lisa uses different types of steel to create her artwork.  All artwork is finished by hand and is suitable for outdoor use.

Lisa's stainless designs use high grade 304 (or, where specified, 316 marine grade) quality brushed stainless steel.  Stainless steel’s resistance to corrosion and staining, low maintenance, and attractive lustre make it an ideal choice for indoor or outdoor art.  This is the same grade as a high quality BBQ.

A complimentary "Brilliance" Wipe is included with your purchase to enhance your art, as required. The Brilliance non-toxic wipe cleans and shines,  leaving a protective coating against smudging, markings, and finger prints on stainless steel.

Apply Brilliance, as needed, wiping with the grain.  Leave on for 10-15 minutes then wipe dry with paper/soft cloth.  Take care not to wipe across vinyl lettering with the wipe.

Additional wipes are available through quality hardware stores.

Any rust is growing on the outside of the artwork and can be removed using white vinegar.

Lisa uses recycled mild steel for her industrial range.  It is designed to age and any imperfections (scratches, marks and surface rust) are part of its natural charm.  These works are designed to rust slowly and create their own unique patina.

Rust can be removed, as required, either by lightly sanding (preferred) or using Amsol Metal Polish (preferred) or white vinegar.

If using vinegar, wipe vinegar on artwork using a paper towel.  Leave for a few minutes and then wash off with water.  Repeat until desired look is achieved.  Spray with oil (cooking oil works well) and polish with a soft cloth.

Art can be rusted faster by wiping with water or sea water.

Art can also be coated with Penetrol (available at quality hardware stores) to stop the rusting process and maintain the look of the artwork at any stage.

Lisa uses 2.5mm corten steel for her garden bird collection.  Corten is a corrosion resistant steel that, left uncoated, develops an outer layer patina. The patina protects the steel from additional corrosion.

Art can be wiped lightly with a clean damp cloth.  Then dried with a clean dry cloth.  Only use water to clean these works.
