Stainless steel with a durable UV-resistant powder coated finish, and a central detail in resin with a UV inhibitor added. That combination is why they can sit outside in full sun without going chalky or rusting at the fixings.
They're made for it. Pool areas, fences, exterior walls, decks and garages are all fine, and the same hooks work just as well in a bathroom or an entryway.
The cross hooks project 25mm from the wall and come in medium at 10cm or large at 12.5cm front diameter. The dot hooks come in 7.5cm, 10cm and 12.5cm diameter. Sizes vary across the other designs, so check the individual listing.
A full-sized wet towel is no trouble. For heavier loads, spread the weight across two hooks rather than one, and make sure you've used the right fixing for your wall.
Screws aren't included, because the right fixing depends on your wall. Use 8 gauge countersunk wood screws into timber, or 8 gauge wall anchors into plasterboard, concrete or block. Outdoors, don't over-tighten the resin screw, as it needs room to expand in warm weather.
Around 20 to 25cm between centres suits most walls, and shoulder height works for adults. Keep them in a straight line rather than staggered, which reads as deliberate rather than accidental. There's more on this in our hook wall guide.
